Visakhapatnam: The district administration is making massive arrangements for the third-phase of mega grounding mela to be organised in Anakapalle on December 28.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will attending to the mela and as a part of supportive income generation programme, will distribute cattle being imported from Haryana to beneficiaries.
All the senior officials including Collector Pravin Kumar, Superintendent of Police A Babuji, Joint Collector G Srujana and the district level officers of all line departments visited the venue and reviewed the arrangements for the mela and the public meeting to be organised on the occasion.
The administration is expecting attendance of over 25,000 people for the meeting and mela. The officials visited various places including the venue of the public meeting, stalls being set up and vehicle parking area.
Various stalls are being set up on the occasion for distribution of cattle and tools under Aadarana scheme at DCMS Grounds. The Collector directed the officials to ensure that at every stall at least 15 assets are distributed. While speaking to the media, the Collector said that arrangements are being made to ensure cent per cent grounding of the units sanctioned during 2016-17 and 2017-18.
The administration is ensuring to ground 50 per cent of the units sanctioned in the present fiscal and the rest of the units would be grounded before March 31, 2019, Pravin Kumar said. Over 1,000 cows are being distributed by the Chief Minister in the mela, he added. Lok Sabha member M Srinivasa Rao and Anakapalle MLA P Govinda Satyanarayana were present.
