Vijayawada: The state government is trying to reduce economic disparities among the people and is committed to deliver best possible services with the help of technology, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Monday. Releasing second white paper on governance of the 10 scheduled to be published, at Praja Vedika in Undavalli. Chandrababu Naidu gave an account of the measures being taken by the state government to implement technology-based governance in the state.
He said excellent growth in the field of agriculture and industry became possible due to use of advanced technology in delivering good governance. He said the government has increased the services of Mee Seva and introduced e-offices and e-cabinet for the speedy and transparent delivery of services.
The Andhra Pradesh government had won 615 national awards in various departments for its excellent performance in the last four years, he said. The white paper has revealed that the state won 107 awards in energy, infrastructure and investment department, 91 awards in municipal administration and urban development, 82 awards in Panchayat Raj and Rural development, 30 awards in water resources, 38 awards in Information Technology, 55 awards in health and 33 awards in school education.
As per the NITI Aayog reports, Andhra Pradesh stands fourth among the 29 states in the country in implementation of 17 sustainable development goals. The Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) started functioning from November 26, 2017 with the motto of people first to ensure 80 per cent satisfaction of citizens in overall governance and the service delivery of the schemes, according to the white paper.
Parirakshana Vedika 1100 is an integrated call centre platform with a capacity of 15 lakh calls/ day manner by 2000 plus operators to help the citizens to register their grievances. These grievances get automatically routed till the last mile government functionary for redressal.
Real time governance ecosystem aims at brining uniform platforms using real time dash-boards on various performance indicators and incident reporting on weather, disaster control, incident management and state emergency operations Centre .
The white paper says the state government is using Andhra Pradesh Weather Forecasting and Early Disaster Warning (RTGS-AWARE) for weather forecasting. The RTGS-AWARE was very useful to assess the movement of cyclones like Pethai, which hit the East Godavari Coast two weeks ago. The advanced technology is used for rough sea alerts, thunderbolts/ lighting, cyclones and depressions.
Mee Seva is another important area of governance. During the last four-and-a- half years the state government has enhanced G2C services from 197 to 450, B2C services from 159 to 236, number of online services from 20 to 200.
