Hyderabad: Assistant Solicitor General K Lakshman on Friday submitted his arguments before the division bench of the Hyderabad High Court, comprising Chief Justice T B Radhakrishnan and Justice S V Bhatt, in the case relating to attempt to murder on YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

It may be recalled that an attack with a knife was perpetrated against Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Visakhapatnam Airport in the month of October. Subsequent attack on Jaganmohan Reddy, several public interest litigations and writ petitions were filed in the High Court, saying that the investigation into the incident was not being carried out properly.

The Union Government through Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday submitted a report pertaining to the attack on Jaganmohan Reddy in a sealed cover to the Hyderabad High Court. The Assistant Solicitor General submitted before the court that the Union government was apprised of the matter and the case is being investigated scrupulously.

The bench returned the material provided in the sealed cover to the Union government through Assistant Solicitor General and directed the competent authorities to investigate the case.

Senior counsel C V Mohan Reddy, representing Jaganmohan Reddy, urged the court to the post the case at an early date as the court as the court will be on vacation after January 4 next year. The bench posted the matter to January 4 for next hearing.
