The district administration formed teams at village level and appointed special officers in the 14 coastal mandals and the Collector ordered them to be ready and available to the public round the clock.
He said that Ongole, Tangutur, Singarayakonda, Ulavapadu, Gudluru, Jarugumalli, Kothapatnam, NG Padu, Chinaganjam, Vetapalem, Chirala, Karamchedu, Kandukuru and SN Padu mandals are identified to be vulnerable to the cyclone and ordered the officials to bring the public living in low lying areas to safety areas.
He ordered them to arrange community kitchens for supplying food. He also directed the officials to keep the fuel ready for the JCBs and for generators to remove trees and other debris.
