Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy alleged that the TRS had secured votes by igniting Telangana sentiment again

Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy alleged that the TRS had secured votes by igniting Telangana sentiment again. Interacting with the media at NTR Bhavan here on Friday, the Minister said that it was very unfortunate that YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan have supported TRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao and senior TRS leader Harish Rao, who had betrayed Andhra Pradesh.

“People in AP will also show their sentiment in the next general elections. We would release a white paper on allocations to the farming sector in the state comparing that of implemented in Telangana. Though AP has been facing financial crisis, Telugu Desam government had supported farmers two times better than the TRS government,” he stated.

The TDP would get bumper majority in the general elections, he said and criticised that other projects taken up by the Central government have been going on at snail’s pace. Construction of Polavaram Project has been speeded up with direct supervision of the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, said the Minister.

He also said that the former Chief Secretaries Ajeya Kallam and IYR Krishna Rao have been supporting YS Jagan after retirement. Further, the Minister participated in BC leaders meet in Sarvepalli constituency. He appealed to the party workers to make the public meeting success scheduled to be held on December 30 in Rajahmundry. He stated that the former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao had only provided reservations to the BCs in local bodies.

State government has been providing latest tools to beneficiaries at 90 per cent subsidy, he added. Sarvepalli TDP constituency in-charge Somireddy Rajagopal Reddy and others were present.
