After the inauguration, Municipal Commissioner Sankranti Venkata Krishna said that there are number of artistic people in Prakasam district and the art exhibitions and seminars would help them inspire more to do more creative work and bring fame to the district.
Parthavi Reddy, the child who mesmerised the visitors with her spot painting and use of colours for the abstract art, said that she chooses the subject as per the mood but most of them are patterns from the galaxy.
Sandhya Rangula, teacher of Parthavi Reddy said that the girl is very talented and amazes every one with her use of colour combinations.
Sandhya said that they are organising a seminar on 'Trends in Modern Art' on Saturday, in which noted artists like A Viswam from Chennai, S Vijaya Kumar, Vijay M Dhore, Jeevan Gosika from Hyderabad, Wajid Sajid from Bangalore, Sagar Ginne from Tirupati along with the much acclaimed artist from Ongole, Dr Machiraju Ramachandra Rao.
She added that Dr D Vizai Bhaskar, CEO of the AP State Creativity and Culture Commission and Dr E Siva Nagireddy, CEO of the Cultural Center of Vijayawada and Amaravati also will participate in the programme and share their views on the latest trends in art.
The organisers also conducted a drawing competition for the children in the afternoon. They said that the winners will be announced on Saturday after the seminar and prizes will be distributed.
