Vijayawada: Assistant professor working at VR Siddhartha Engineering College Dr Praveen Naidu Vummadisetty has been selected for a prestigious Small Satellite Design programme (CUBE SAT leader training program) at Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan, according to a release by the management of the college on Thursday.

Dr Praveen is the lone participant selected from India and received full financial sponsorship from Japan to attend this training programme. The final selected team consists of international participants from India, USA, Japan, Malaysia and Magnolia.

During this programme, Dr Praveen Naidu has successfully completed the course, designed and developed engineering model of CubeSat which is used for weather forecasting applications.

The Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education (SAGTE) Vice-President M Rajaiah, Secretary P Lakshmana Rao, Dr A V Ratna Prasad (Principal VRSEC), Dr Sri Rama Krishna (HoD ECE) and other faculty members congratulated Dr Praveen Naidu.
