Kadapa: As many as 88 farmers from Kadapa district left for Guntur in 19 buses to participate in 10-day training camp on Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) being organised at Bible Mission Ground by Padma Shri awardee Subhash Palekar from Saturday.

Joint Collector-2 J Siva Reddy flagged off busses at new Collector office here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the Joint Collector said that the training will be more useful to the farmers as they would learn new techniques and scientific methods for achieving rich yield without using chemical fertilisers.

He stated about 60,000 farmers from 51 mandals in the district already using ZBNF as some of them had received awards from the government. Joint Director of Agriculture Murali Krishna and other officials were present.
