Vijayawada: The Sedibus, Malaxmi Group’s complete start-up ecosystem platform for the State, was launched by Minister for IT, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Nara Lokesh at Nidamanuru here on Tuesday.
Lokesh, inaugurating the Sedibus, said that he was delighted at such an initiative actively coming from the private sector. He said that the entities like AP Innovation Society from the State government are working actively towards hand-holding the regional start-ups so that there is no need for them to migrate to other metros in search of mentors and investment.
He appreciated the efforts of Malaxmi Group to create sustainable start-up ecosystem for the young innovators and entrepreneurs in the State. He said that mastering technology comes naturally to people of Andhra and this has been constantly evidenced in the past.
Developing good infrastructure and platform for start-ups in technology will help the State retain talent and make more contribution to the society at large.
He said that companies like Sedibus will become catalysts between the start-ups and the innovators in the State with industry leaders, mentors and potential investors.
Harischandra Prasad, founder and chief mentor, addressing the audience, said that primary motto of establishing entity like ‘The Sedibus’ is to build a viable ecosystem for start-ups from the ground, empowering young minds in the State to access rich mentorship and guidance from the mentors and thought leaders from across several industries.
Deepa Balasubramanian, CEO of The Sedibus, said that they aspire to establish a viable ‘match making’ platform for the start-ups emerging in the State, connecting them with the global leaders, top accelerators and corporate establishments, offering a direct opportunity to address problem statements in the real-time scenarios.
Several start-ups showcased their products and services at the stalls set up at the venue. The Sedibus will constitute co-work space, maker’s space, incubation, accelerator, technology business incubator and networking platform for events and summits connecting start-ups with the best in the industry.
