Rythu Bazaar to come up in every Assembly constituency

Chittoor: To encourage farmers in rural areas for taking up cultivation of horticulture crops, the state government will set up Rythu Bazaars in every Assembly constituency of the district, according to District Collector P S Pradyumna.
The Collector inaugurated a natural exhibition of vegetables at Rythu Bazaar here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Pradyumna has stated the government would provide all facilities for small and marginal farmers to sale their produce in Rythu Bazaars at free of cost.
He mentioned that the Horticulture Department will coordinate the marketing activities of Rythu Bazaars in the district to get remunerative price for farming community.
The Collector made an appeal to people to purchase vegetables in Rythu Bazaars only. Mayor K Hemalatha said that vegetable waste being generated every day in Rythu Bazaars would be lifted on the same day.
MLC B N Rajasimhulu recalled that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had sanctioned Rs 2.5 crore for the construction of buildings at Rythu Bazaar in Chittoor.
Joint Director of Agriculture Vijayakumar and other officials were present. Earlier, the Collector interacted with farmers to know about their earnings and practical difficulties being faced by them.
