Scholarships, saris distributed in Bhimavaram

Bhimavaram: Merit scholarships were handed over to students and saris were distributed to poor women at a function organised under the aegis of Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad Ideal Foundation here on Sunday.

State Vigilance Committee member MA Ansari, Muslim Committee president Shaik Rabbani and councilor Naushad appreciated the foundation for its spiritual and social service activities.

They wished the foundation to intensify its activities in the days to come.

Two merit students, Shaik Mujahiddin and G Pridhvi Naidu were given scholarship of Rs 3,000 each. Saris were distributed among a group of 15 poor women.

The foundation chairman, Mohammed Pasha and others were present.
