​Vijayawada: A multi-specialty health camp was organised at Burripalem village by Andhra Hospitals in association with cine hero G Mahesh Babu on the occasion of birth anniversary of scientist and former President of India, Dr Abdul Kalam on Monday.

The camp was led by Andhra Hospitals. All specialties including medicine, surgery, pediatrics and cardiology participated in the camp. Awareness session was conducted to the villagers on seasonal and common health problems. All specialty consultations, investigations were done and medicines were distributed to patients free of cost.

Dr PV Rama Rao, Chief of Children’s services and Director, Andhra Hospitals, said this was the 20th camp so far in this village and “Our aim is to improve health care services at Burripalem village to develop it as model health village in Andhra Pradesh.” Dr Sudha, Dr Amar, Dr Ramesh, nurses, paramedical staff and others participated in the camp.
