Srikakulam: Titli cyclone caused huge damage to farm sector in Srikakulam. Total loss due to cyclone was estimated preliminary as Rs 1156 crore of it farm sector loss was estimated as Rs 580 crore.
Paddy, cotton, sugarcane and other agriculture crops damaged in 13,984 hectares, horticulture crops damaged in 4,513 hectares total loss enumerated as Rs 580 crore.
30,136 houses fully, 9257 house partially damaged and another 10,266 houses located in low lying areas inundated by flood water and total loss is Rs 210.11 crore.
Seven persons lost their lives, 368 domestic animals, 1030 meat animals, 41,433 birds died and loss is Rs 1.60 crore. 16 cattle sheds collapsed and loss is Rs 1.33 lakh.
360 KM length R and B roads affected and loss is Rs 48 crore, 192 KM length PR roads damaged and three buildings affected and loss is Rs 99.05 crore.
Loss of municipal roads and drains estimated as Rs 8.45 crore. Minor irrigation loss estimated as Rs 8.25 crore, major irrigation loss Rs 18.80 crore, loss for AP state irrigation development corporation (APSIDC) estimated as Rs 6.82 crore.
Loss for rural water supply (RWS) wing as Rs 88.50 lakh as 377 water schemes affected. Fisheries loss estimated as Rs 9.35 crore as 913 boats, 4701 nets affected.
Total 22,887 poles damaged, 50 sub-stations of 33KV, 380 sub-stations of 11 KV, 101 sub-stations of 33/11 KV damaged and total loss estimated for electricity department as Rs 29.50 crore.
Out of total 1377 cellphone towers of all telecom companies like BSNL, AirTel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone and Idea cellular 822 towers damaged due to cyclone.
