Tirumala: On the pleasant morning of Sunday during the ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Sri Malayappa Swamy as Mohini mesmerised the pilgrims with His unparalleled beauty and charm.

The role of Mohini is resplendent with the mythological lore of Samudra Mathanam where Sri Maha Vishnu takes Mohini avatar to share the divine nectar between Gods (Devatas) and demons (Asuras) to balance cosmic battle for supremacy.

However, the Gods had an upper hand in procuring nectar while the demons were caught in the Maya of Celestial Beauty, Mohini. Mohini in all Her resplendent charm is taken out in a procession on an ivory palanquin accompanied by Sri Krishna Swamy on another carrier.

Through this unique Avatar, Lord sends a message to His devotees that they should not fall prey to worldly desires and come out of ‘Maya’ of the luxuries of world. Pilgrims are thrilled to witness the twin presence of Mohini and Lord Sri Krishna.
