Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman M T Krishna Babu flagged off the vehicles which carry school and college children to visit harbour on Saturday to witness the cargo handling operations.
As part of VPT’s 85th Foundation Day celebrations, it has taken a decision to allow the students and public into the harbour on October 6-8.
A big number of institutions registered their names for free entry into the harbour.
The port officials explained cargo handling operations and port’s role in booming the Indian economy.
Over 3,000 persons visited the harbour on the first day.
