Vizianagaram: The announcement made by YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Vizianagaram public meeting created some disappointment among the cadre of that party. Jagan had announced that KVeerabhadra Swamy, MLC would contest from here in forthcoming elections. But the statement had pushed theother group into dilemma.

Avanapu Vijay and Vikram are brothers and have been supporting Jagan from the death of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. The brothers had joined the party even earlier than Botcha Satyanarayana and Veerabhadra Swamy. Vijay worked as district president of youth wing and organised many programmes which were assigned by the party chief.

Both the brothers are close to Botcha Satyanarayana and have been expecting the party ticket to contest in the forthcoming polls and sought the support of Botcha in this regard. At the same time, VeerabhadraSwamy has been maintaining a separate group and organising the party programmes on his own. Though Swami and Botchajoined YSRCP from Congress party, they have some differences between them.

Now, Jagan made a statement offering party ticket to Veerabhadra Swamy and instructed the cadre to work collectively. With this, Avanapu brothers are compelled to extend their support to Swamy which will be like a bitter pill to them. They lost hopes on MLA seat and eyed on Mayor post of the town.

When The Hans India contacted Vijay, he said, ``We have no displeasure over the announcement. We have been with our leader for the past some years. We have faith on him that he would take suitable decision about our political role in the party and in the town. We all will work hard to win the MLA seat here,’’ he said.
