Amaravati: After passing obituary resolutions relating to ruling party leaders, including sitting MLC MVVS Murthi, MLA KidariSarveswara Rao, former MLA Siveri Soma and former MP NandamuriHarikrishna, the cabinet meeting concluded and postponed all other agenda items, on Wednesday.
The cabinet paid tributes to MVVS Murthi and Harikrishna who lost their lives in road accident &KidariSarveswara Rao and Siveri Soma who were killed by Maoists.
The cabinet expressed shock over the accidental deaths of Harikrishna and MVVS Murthiand killing of other two leaders by Maoists. The cabinet expressed condolences to the families of the bereaved families. A two-minute silence was observed. After that, the meeting was concluded without discussing other issues.
Meanwhile, the TDP president and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu addressed party coordination committee meeting at Undavalli in
Guntur. The meeting paid condolences to MVVS Murthi, who died in a road accident in USA on Wednesday. Chandrababu recalled the services of Murthi to the party.
The meeting also expressed condolences to the family members of tribal leaders Sarveswara Rao and S Soma who were killed by Maoists.
About the killing of Sarveawsra Rao and Soma by Maoists, Chandrababu Naidu said that Maoists trapped some people who recently joined in TDP, got information of the MLA through them, and killed him.
Chandrababu Naidu also spoke of bauxite mining, which was one of the reasons for killing the public representatives. He said that mining was initiated during YS Rajasekhar Reddy regime. It was against public interests and TDP opposed mining operations there. Now TDP led state government is not mining in the area.
He was countering the opposition criticism of TDP government bauxite mining was responsible for Maoists act. After CM address, the committee observed two-minute silence for the diseased leaders.Later the meeting was concluded without discussing any other issue.
