E-Cars To Hit Vijayawada Roads In October

To contain the growing air pollution, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation has decided to introduce environmental friendly electric cars in Vijayawada from October.

To begin with, the officials of the corporation will start using the e-cars from this month end. 24 vehicles were already ordered. Taking serious note of increasing air pollution due to smoke emanated from the vehicles, the corporation chalked out action plan for the promotion of electric cars.

Government already introduced the use of e-cars in Temple town Tirupati. On the same lines, the e-cars will also be used in Vijayawada.
