Tirupati: BJP State secretary G Bhanuprakash Reddy said that he will file a police complaint to probe into the alleged black marketing of VIP break darshan tickets, if the TTD failed to initiate action.
Reddy who is also a former TTD trust board member alleged that the TTD bowing to pressures was soft-pedalling on the black marketing of VIP break darshan tickets though the fraud came to light during the verification of break darshan tickets by TTD senior officials on Thursday.
Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Bhanu said that during the verification led by TTD Joint Executive Officer K S Srinivasa Raju along with Chief Security and Vigilance Officer in-charge Siva Kumar Reddy it was found that the break darshan tickets issued on the recommendation of VIPs were found cornered by unscrupulous elements for selling them in black market.
But, the TTD instead of going deep into the fraud in the name of VIPs, was trying to keep it under wraps, he said alleging involvement of the ruling party leaders.
In this connection, he said that break darshan tickets were indiscriminately issued on the recommendation of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and the ruling party leaders were giving scope for misuse of the tickets.
He also alleged involvement of the TTD staff working at the JEO office at Tirumala in the black marketing of break darshan tickets.
He said that if the TTD failed to take tough action on the black marketing of tickets, he will meet Tirupati Urban SP on Monday along with concrete details to press for a police inquiry into the black marketing of tickets.
If no inquiry is taken up on the issue, the BJP leaders will meet the Governor and also resort to agitation for a probe for unearthing the fraud in the issuing of darshan tickets.
