Chandrababu Naidu urges officials to achieve 15 pc sustainable growth

Amaravati: Setting a target of sustainable 15 per cent economy growth for the next 10 years, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the officials to work towards achieving this goal.
This will help the State to emerge as number one in the country, he said during a meeting with the Heads of all Departments, Secretaries, District Collectors and Ministers at the Secretariat on Thursday.
He said that officials should work to achieve optimum level of public satisfaction, while discussing on the feedback received by all departments.
He asked the officials to actively participate in the Grama Darsini programme.
Public satisfaction was not satisfacotry on Grama Darsini programme, the Chief Minister observed. The Chief Minister asked the officials to go to villages and wards in urban areas under the Grama Darsini programme. He said that the Grama Darsini will help officials in improving public satisfaction by motivating them to utilise the government welfare schemes.
He said the State was able to overcome initial hiccups with the sustained efforts put by the government during the last four years. He asked the officials to continue with the same spirit further to achieve the number one position.
The Chief Minister said that the State has been developing at rapid speed when compared to the other States in the country. He said that the use of technology in governance and administration ensured efficiency in delivery mechanism.
Referring to Chandranna Bima scheme, he said that the there was only 62 per cent satisfaction in implementation. He directed the officials to solve the problems as soon as the people lodge their complaints to improve the public satisfaction levels.
Appreciating the officials who achieved awards in various departments, Naidu said that the State government officials under the TDP government were enjoying highest respect among the people.
More than 15 departments of the State government achieved various awards at the national level. During the last four years, all departments together achieved more than 550 national awards, officials explained to the Chief Minister. Naidu also pointed out that the State stood at No.1 position in ease of doing business for two consecutive years.
Utilise NREGA funds: Chandrababu Naidu said that at present 22 departments were using NREGA funds and asked the remaining departments also to utilise these funds through convergence mode.
He said that by using the NREGA funds, the State government completely changed the face of all villages. The funds were used to construct concrete roads, increase green cover, install LED lights, promoted farm ponds and take up many development works during the last four years in rural areas.
Naidu told the officials that he was only providing guidance as a leader. For achieving targets, there must be teamwork. He exuded confidence that the present State government team would create history. He asked them to improve their working skills, learn new technology and adopt it in the governance.
The Chief Minister suggested to officials to find out the best practices being implemented by various States, which were in number one position in different sectors. He asked them to adopt the sector-specific best practices from across the country in the State.
Agriculture Department Principal Secretary Rajasekhar said that there were 22 mandals in Guntur district facing stress at present. He explained that they sent alerts regarding weather forecast to the farmers through mobiles, which helped to prevent crop damage.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the State government will provide “No loss subsidy” to the farmers if the crops were damaged. At the same time, he suggested to officials to utilise crop insurance policies.
Ministers Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, P Narayana, K Atchannaidu, Amaranatha Reddy, Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Kollu Ravindra, Planning Board Vice-Chairman C Kutumba Rao, Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar, Special Chief Secretary Sarish Chandra and others participated.
