Roads scaring people with garbage stink in Akiveedu

Akiveedu: Even as Swachh Bharat programme gained much popularity all over the nation, many panchayats near Akiveedu present a pathetic situation with overflowing of garbage dumps and unbearable stink.

Starting from Ai Bhimavaram bus stop area to railway station, all the roads lacked fresh air because of stinking garbage heaps beside roads.

People using the roads have been facing tough time as the bad smell emanating from the garbage.

As the garbage soaked in rains, insects and flies from the rotten garbage made the roads nasty.

People who used to complain to governing body members earlier on the poor sanitation, are wondering why the special officers failed to keep panchayats clean and safe.

Many panchayats had not been collecting garbage from the vicinity of bus stops. The seriousness of the problem multiplied with open defecation.

The road leading to railway station is used for defecation in violation of Swachh Bharat concept.
