3 held, 1.07 lakh recovered in guntur

Guntur: Urban police arrested thieves and recovered Rs 1,07,000 in cash and an auto used for committing crime from them here on Tuesday.

According to DSP Devarakonda Prasad, the accused Badugu Samson, Patas Ahmed Khan and Nazeer Bi hails from Guntur city.

After passengers boarding their autos, they were quarreling and threatening the passengers and collecting money from them.

Based on the complaint, the police officials formed a team and searching for the accused.

While the accused were moving at NTR Bus Station in Guntur city, the police took them into custody for questioning.

During the questioning, they confessed to the crime. The police recovered Rs 1,07,000 cash and auto rickshaw from them.
