​Ongole: The BJP Andhra Pradesh Mahila Morcha president, Thota Vijayalakshmi called for the participation of women leaders in the party to educate public on the Central government schemes and give wide publicity.Speaking to the media along with the district president PV Krishnareddy at the district party office on Monday, she said that the rulers in the state were dividing the public by parties and showing partiality in implementing the welfare programmes.

She said that the Bharateeya Janata Party believes in Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas(development of all with togetherness) and works for Antyodaya, sharing fruits of development up to the last one below the poverty line. She quoted several programmes introduced by the Central government like nutrition centers for the malnutrtioned children, Sakhi One Stop centers etc for the welfare of women and children being implemented in the state.

She advised women to utilize them and urged every woman worker of the party to share the feedback on the functioning of the schemes. She asked them to fight against the untrue propaganda about the Union government and explain the features of the programmes and schemes to the common public and involve them.

She said that she was trying to involve women from the booth level to the state level politics in the party and announced that she would try to get maximum seats for the women in the coming Assembly elections. The BJP Mahila Morcha district president R Mangatayaru, secretary Maddula Lakshmi Devi, senior leader Meenakumari and others also participated in the meeting.
