Vijayawada: Uncertainty looms large over the fate of important leaders of two parties YSRCP and TFP in Krishna district.
Though the two parties launched the electioneering plans for the forthcoming polls, still the rank and file of both the parties are unaware about the details of contestants in several key constituencies in the district.
Still there is no clarity on the election plans of former ministers K Pardhasaradhi, Kamineni Srinivas and Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao.
The political circles of important constituencies like Gudivada, Nuzividu and Kaikaluru are also in dilemma from the ongoing developments.
Former minister K Pardhasaradhi is continuing in YSR Congress Party though he was defeated from Machilipatnam Parliament in the last elections.
Presently, he appears to be not interested as a candidate for any particular constituency.
Rumour mills are agog in political circles that he may not contest from anywhere in the district. His followers are confused due to the present piquant situation.
Former minister and Kaikaluru BJP MLA Kamineni Srinivas is also facing similar uncertainty. Indeed, he won the last Assembly elections due to the support of Telugu Desam under poll alliance.
Now the BJP and TDP are exchanging war of words ending their election alliance.
The prospects of Kamineni Srinivas are very minimal, if he contests on BJP ticket.
The political circles envisage that he may shift his loyalties from the BJP to his home party Telugu Desam from where he had started his political journey.
Meanwhile, Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao is representing Mylavaram constituency but the rumorus are abound in political circles that he may contest from Nuzvidu Assembly segment or Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency.
Currently, he is working hard and touring all the villages in his constituency limits to register victory.
Besides, there is no clarity about candidature of Telugu Desam for Nuzvidu constituency.
Former MLA Mudraboyina Venkateswara Rao is the in-charge for the constituency but the party leadership is searching for alternative options. The same situation prevailed in Gudivada Telugu Desam Party also.
Former MLA Ravi Venkateswara Rao is the in-charge but alternative plans are being finalised to put an end to the winning streak of YSR Congress MLA Kodali Nani.
Especially, uncertainty continuing in Telugu Desam Party regarding Nuzvidu, Gudivada and Kaikaluru constituencies.
Likewise, the rank and file of YSR Congress Party is also facing similar atmosphere for selection of two Parliament candidates for Machililatnam and Vijayawada constituencies.
One senior leader of YSR Congress Party, speaking to The Hans India said that the dilemma would continue for some more months till the election dates are announced.
