Andhra Pradesh former Director General of Police Sambasiva Rao ruled out joining active politics in the future. He met YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the capacity of Gannavaram Port Trust Chief Executive officer and it is only a courtesy call.

The meeting with Jagan did not have any political significance. Rao clarified that he also met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu when the latter was opposition leader in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
