Guntur: Municipal Corporation on August 12 will conduct an advance 5-K Freedom Run to mark 52nd Independence Day from NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium, according to GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar.

He said to draw inspiration from the freedom-fighters, the GMC will be conducting the run. He said that district officials and people's representatives will participate in the run and added that the rally will start at NTR Municipal Corporation Stadium in Guntur city which will pass through Lakshmipuram, Harihara Mahal, Koretepadu, Vidyanagar, Gujjanagundla, via Rajendranagar.

It will reach the NTR Stadium. School students, B Pharmacy College students and others will participate. The students will perform cultural programmes.
