Guntur: Vignan Deemed University student affairs dean MSS Rukmini said that their students achieved overall championship in the 19th inter-club taekwondo championship-2018 competitions held in Repalle town recently.

The university conducted felicitation to the prize winners at Vadlamudi on Wednesday.

She said their students bagged 11 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 7 bronze medals in the taekwondo competitions. Taekwondo Association conducted the competitions.

Vignan students E Prudhvi, J Himani, U Tarakarama, K Kavitha Prasanthi, U Divya Lakshmi, Y Ishitha, M Leela Madhavi, G Anuradha, Sai Kumar, Hari and Manikumar bagged gold medals.

Vignan Group Chairman Lavu Rathaiah, Physical Education director K Dasaradharami Reddy, taekwondo coach Rasheed appreciated the 25 students who got medals in the taekwondo competitions.
