Vizianagaram: AP Innovation Society (APIS), Government of AP, iB Hubs Global and MVGR College of Engineering hosted a three-day comprehensive hands-on training to students in the latest booming technology, Internet of Things (IoT).
It’s conducted as part of the capacity building programme on various emerging technologies. Students not only from MVGR, but also from other colleges of the state participated in the workshop. In all, 500 applications received from students and out of them 120 students were selected for the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Valli Kumari, CEO of APIS and Vice-Chairperson of APSCHE, said that the students should make use of workshop and come up with innovative prototypes and projects that could solve the day-to-day problems faced by society at large. She emphasised the importance of IoT technology.
Principal Dr KVL Raju said that the workshop was a grand success and all the students participated and learnt how to use IoT technology for real time problem solving. He emphasised the importance of Inter of Things in solving the socio-economic challenges being faced by the country. Prof P Sitarama Raju, Dean, Internal Quality Assurance, Dr Kalyan Chakravarthy, HoD of CSE were present.
