Tirupati: Grama and Nagara Darshini programmes launched by the government was to ensure effective implementation of the government schemes based on the feedback from the people, said Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy.
The Minister along with local MLA M Suguna and party leaders made an extensive visit in the down town area of Nehru Nagar in 30th division of the Corporation on Thursday to interact with the residents on the implementation of the government schemes.
He also partook meals along with the students in the corporation primary school, to take the opportunity to elicit their views on the mid-day meals being provided by the government. When the children said that the meals provided to them better than they are taking in their homes, the Minister chided them and told them that they should never slight their home food amidst laughter from the gathering.
A group of Muslims sought the Minister to help to have a shed before the mosque as shelter to those coming to offer prayers, the Minister then and there directed Municipal Corporation Engineer Ahmed to take steps to put up the shed. The Muslims also brought to the notice of the Minister about the shortage of teachers in the Urdu school in the locality which won the first prize at national-level Swachh Vidyalaya.
Amaranatha Reddy spoke to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vijaya Rama Raju and instructed him to visit the school and send the proposal on the requirements including teachers for betterment of facilities. Reddy freely mingling with the people wished the residents and patiently spoke with them on the benefits they are getting from the government.
A poor visually impaired Masthan told the Minister that he is depending on his wife running an eatery on the road side and urged the Minister to sanction a house. After completing his two hour long visit to the locality, speaking to media said that the state bagging first position in ‘ease of doing business’ consecutive for the third ever amply reveal that AP is the best destination for investors to set up their enterprises.
