Sudha’s musical concert holds audience in thrall

Vijayawada: Swara Jhuri organised a musical concert of Mysore MR Sudha (Bengaluru) on the premises of Sri Sivaramakrishna Kshetram here on Monday evening.
Mysore MR Sudha learnt basics in classical music from MJ Srinivasa Iyyamgar and MJ Ramaswamy and advanced music from OS Thyagarajan. She had given a number of performances in and around the country.
Sudha commenced the concert Ranjani raga varnam composed by GS Subrahmanyam and continued the concert with Thyagaraja Swamy keerthanas “Bagayonayya” (Chandra jyothi ragam), “Ragasudha rasa” (Andolika ragam), Syama Sastry kriti “Ninne namminanu” (Todi ragam), Purandharadasu composition “Narayana” (Sudha dhanyasi ragam). Sudha rendered excellently and received appreciation from the audience.
The vocal concert was supported by BV Durga Bhavani on violin, Mangalagiri Sridhar on mridangam and M Haribabu on Ghatam.
Swara Jhuri general secretary Modumudi Sudhakar conducted the programme.
