Rain water leaves low-lying areas inundated

Rajamahendravaram: Some low-lying areas in the city were inundated in the rain water on Sunday. The city was witnessing rain since Saturday night.

In some areas, the drain water came onto the roads and the people faced problems.

The rain disrupted the daily works of the people and many stayed indoors. Because of the rain, petty vendors faced problems due to lack of business.

Shops which were supposed to be open even on Sunday were also closed.
The cinema theatres also wore a deserted look.

However, the liquor shops made a roaring business due to cool weather and rain.

In the agency area in many places trees fell down due to heavy gales and traffic movement was stalled between Chintoor and Bhadrachalam.
