Vijayawada: The contract employees of Chief Minister’s Urban Health Centers (CMUHC) staged a protest at the District Medical and Health officer (DMHO) at Old Government General Hospital here on Wednesday, demanding that the government solve their pending issues.
In this regard, the contract employees and the union members gave a memorandum to the DMHO, T Padmaja Rani.
They demanded that the government solve the problems of employees working at 800 Urban health centers and increase their salaries and implement GO No 27.
They also wanted to clear the pending salaries since 2016 immediately. They appealed to the government to set the timings from 9 am to 4 pm only.
N Durga Lakshmi, General Secretary of CMUHC union said the state government was organising the CMUHCs by Apollo and Dhanush Infotech groups.
The ANMs working across the state in these CMUHCs were serving for about 25 years.
And they all were getting salaries based of GO 3. Recently, the state government increased the salaries of outsourcing employees and issued GO 151.
Almost all outsourcing employees got the enhanced pay except the CMUHC employees, she added.
