District Collector Kona Sasidhar has said that they will construct 48,000 houses for the poor under the PMAY scheme in the district
Guntur: District Collector Kona Sasidhar has said that they will construct 48,000 houses for the poor under the PMAY scheme in the district.
He visited Adavitakkellapadu where houses were constructed. The bankers also visited the houses and expressed willingness to sanction loans to the beneficiaries.
Speaking on this occasion, District Collector Sasidhar said that they were using granite stone in the kitchen and maintaining quality in the construction of houses.
He said that they had been using quality wood for doors and added that the government would give Rs 3 lakh subsidy and banks would give Rs 2.6 lakh loan for houses.
He said that the district administration is constructing houses in all municipalities.
He further said that they have called tenders for the construction of the houses.
