​Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of the Chief Minister Health Centers (Urban Health Centers) Contract Employees Union demanded that the government announce equal pay for equal work and regularisation of their services.

They protested in front of the Collectorate and submitted a representation to the officials on Monday. D Anitha, general secretary of the Prakasam district unit said that the government was operating 1,475 Chief Minister Health Centers in the state through Apollo and Dhanush Infotech services.

The staff working under contract and outsourcing agencies as per the GO No 3 for nearly 16 years and were absorbed by the agencies and running the UHCs. As the government increased the salaries of the contract and outsourcing by 50 percent through GO 151, the staff at the UHCs were also demanding the same salaries viz, Rs 18975 for ANMs, Rs 50000 for doctors, Rs 17500 for LT and ITs, Rs 15000 for DEOs, Rs 12000 for GA/CAs.
