BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for organising attacks on BJP and opposition party leaders for questioning the government over its failures
Tirupati: BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for organising attacks on BJP and opposition party leaders for questioning the government over its failures.
Addressing media at STV Nagar here on Friday after participating in a series of programmes in the district, Lakshminarayana demanded that Naidu explain how his Heritage Foods was earning high profits while Vijaya Dairy incurred huge losses in his home district.
He said many farmers were committed suicides across the state due to lack of MSP to their crops but so far, the state government did not respond on farmers grievances.
Kanna accused the Chief Minister of misusing Union government special funds to travel in special flights and for conducting Happy Sunday and Dharma Deeksha agitations. Stating that the government sponsored deekshas and dharnas are useless to public, he alleged that the TDP government has totally failed in protecting the interests of farmers.
Kanna said the BJP is going to lodge a complaint against Naidu and his ministers over misappropriation of funds with the Governor. As some section of farmers brought into our notice that corruption took place in land acquisition for Polavaram project, Kanna said the BJP would demand for probe into entire issue.
As the state government had paid abnormal compensation for land acquisition, he said those who lost their lands sought fair compensation. He said the party is committed to protect the interests of sugar cane, mango and tomato farmers in Naidu’ home district Chittoor. “Our party cadre will go to public and explain Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s achievements to public,” Kanna said.
Earlier, the BJP president participated in district party workers meeting at TMR Kalyana Mandapam and gave a call to cadre to rebut baseless charges of TDP government and its party leaders. Tirupati district party president Chandra Reddy, Santha Reddy, Ponganti Bhaskar, Aakula Sathish and Samanchi Srinivas accompanied Kanna Lakshminarayana during his district tour.
