Chittoor: To realise the dreams of poor and weaker sections of the society, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has launched house warming of 3 lakh houses across the state in a single day, said Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy.

The Minister inaugurated a housing colony at Peddapanjani in Palamaner Assembly constituency on Thursday. Addressing a meeting, Amaranatha Reddy has enlisted the achievements of the TD government in the last four years.

He blamed the previous government for misusing housing scheme meant for poor. The Minister reiterated the TD government is committed to construct the houses for all beneficiaries irrespective of their political affiliation. Reddy alleged Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh by denying Special Category Status (SCS).

“Required funds were not allocated by Modi government for the construction of Polavaram Project and Amaravati,” he criticised. Despite shortage of funds, the Minister stated the government has decided to construct the houses for beneficiaries with all amenities.

Amaranatha Reddy said gruhapravesam of 22,000 houses took place in Chittoor district on Thursday in all 14 Assembly constituencies. In Chittoor city, MLA D A Satyaprabha has inaugurated the housing colony in 14th division in which District Collector P S Pradyumna, Mayor K Hemalatha, MLC B N Rajasimhulu, TDP leaders and officials were present.
