“I’m giving a call, a call to the Nation…Congress Hatao, Desh Bachao”
These words roared through the roofs and echoed in the hearts of many youngsters when Power Star Pawan Kalyan gave his first ever speech at the launch of his party, Jana Sena. Pawan’s ideology that shook the souls with questions directly pointed at the Congress Party, the sinking legacy of Gandhis, the uncalled State Divide to satiate some selfish motives and finally, an appeal made to the masses to wipe the dynasty ruling people into nothingness – everything seemed to have worked in favour of bringing BJP into the lead and driving Telugu Desam Party towards a smashing victory in Seemandhra.
People had their doubts when the silver screen matinee idol chose to throw his hat into the ugly game of politics. There were speculations about his motives, principles and thought process. Many could not understand as to where he was spear heading the name Jana Sena until Pawan stood in the rain, baked in the sun and crusaded into the Andhra while propagating the need to throw the Congress rule out. His revolutionary ideas that blatantly exposed the hidden sinister interests of the politicians went down well with all sections, understanding and accepting responsibility to embrace the truth. His angst against Seemandhra and unfair divide of Telangana moved people and made them look at the possibility of TDP ruling the former with a fresh perspective.
