District Collector Kartikeya Mishra ordered the officials to complete the digital and virtual classrooms and upgrade the infrastructure at all the primary and high schools in the Kakinada Corporation as part of smart city mission. He reviewed a meeting with the corporation officials and Smart City Mission SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) officials at his camp office on Thursday evening.
Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra ordered the officials to complete the digital and virtual classrooms and upgrade the infrastructure at all the primary and high schools in the Kakinada Corporation as part of smart city mission. He reviewed a meeting with the corporation officials and Smart City Mission SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) officials at his camp office on Thursday evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Mishra ordered the officials to finish necessary works under smart city mission in all the schools in the corporation by the end of March. He instructed them to bring the classrooms into functioning after the reopening of schools in June. He suggested them that all the school children should feel a new feeling like they were in a corporate school when they first enter their classrooms after summer vacations.
He ordered the smart city SPV officials that they should bring available the Wi-Fi facility, visual messaging display boards, smart pole at the Town Hall Junction by the end of March. He said that they should also expedite the smart road works from Sarpavaram Junction to Bhanugudi Junction with the necessary facilities like smart bus bays, Wi-Fi zones, ATM based smart bus shelters in those road works for the smart city.
Mishra also suggested them that they should collect the public opinion on finalising the designs of the proposed auditorium ‘Godavari Kalakshetram’ by next week. He directed them that they should also start the Command Control Extension Centre works within a few days after completing the tender process.
He ordered them to upload all the photographs of the works in progress in the corporation to the website every week. Kakinada Corporation Commissioner Siva Parvathi, Corporation SE Vijaya Kumar, Smart City Project CEO Sujay Arun, OSD UCG Nageswara Rao and others participated.
