Vaibhav 2018, the 14th national-level technical symposium started amid fanfare at St Ann’s College of Engineering and Technology in Chirala on Friday. The college secretary, Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and correspondent S Lakshmana Rao announced that about 560 students from 100 colleges participated in the programme of first day in the two-day event.

The college secretary, Vanama Ramakrishna Rao and correspondent S Lakshmana Rao announced that about 560 students from 100 colleges participated in the programme of first day in the two-day event.
Satya Prakash Sekharan, vice-president and Head HR of Amtex Software Systems in Chennai participated as chief guest to the inaugural programme and said that there was a lot of difference between the old generations of engineers to the present generation. He opined that generation was influencing the world with their innovations and changing the picture and financial dimensions of the country with technology. He asked the students to follow the suggestions of the experienced and find out easy solutions to the difficult problems and each student become an entrepreneur in future.
The college principal Dr P Ravikumar said that participating in programmes like Vaibhav, helps the students share their knowledge and get feedback along with knowing the new ideas from other participants. He said that the programme improves the creative thoughts, communication skills and cooperation with others. P Harini, convener of the symposium said that the students were exhibiting their talent in technical, cultural and creative fields in the programme.
