VMM Producers Organisation honours SHG members

Vijayawada: Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM) Self-Help Group (SHG) Producers Organisation programme director G Rashmi has announced that the members of SHG have been trained in making handmade articles.
She appreciated the members of the group for marketing their products on their own and through Producers Organisation. To mark International Women’s Day, a programme was organised to honour the SHG members on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) DGM R Shankar Narayana, appreciated the members of Producers Organisation for their skill and talent to make handmade articles and giving employment for many others.
He said International Women’s Day can be celebrated 365 day throughout the year by extending support to the unemployed women. He further said that Producers Organisation should be a role model to all the SHG groups in India. NABARD DDM T Vijay said skill should be spread to all by training others which would provide livelihood to others. He said that NABARD exhibition would extend its support to skill development. VMM members and NABARD officials honoured the SHG members on the occasion.
