Ongole: The Prakasam district medical and health officer Dr S Rajyalakshmi, requested the public to see that their children below 5 years of age must be administered with the two drops of polio vaccine as part of the Pulse Polio day on Sunday.
The DMHO flagged off a Pulse Polio awareness rally on Friday and said that pulse polio booths were arranged at all PHCs and special centers like bus stands and railway stations and medical and health staff were being appointed to see each and every child below age of five years get the oral vaccine.
The rally with the nursing students started from Prakasam Bhavan covered Miriyalapalem, collector camp office etc. Several officers from the district medical and health department, nursing colleges staff were also participated in the rally to create awareness on the Pulse Polio programme.
