He said the training programme would be organised jointly by the department of language and culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Minaakshi Arts and Crafts Welfare Society (MACWS) and The Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati (CCVA).

He said that the chief guest of the programme would be AP Creativity and Cultural Commission CEO Dr D Vizai Bhaskar. Income Tax Assistant Commissioner Selvi Arumugham would also be attending the programme as a guest.

The chief guest of the concluding day would be Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Nivas, the guest of honour would be TDP Telugu Yuvatha president Katragadda Srinu. Assistant director, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India Dhanoor CV and MACWS chief patron Bonda Sujatha would also participate.

About 35 women artists would participate and trainers adept in leather craft from Dharmavaram in Anantapuram impart training in leather art and craft like lamp shades, wall hangings and puppetry making, Reddy added.
