Tenali: AP State Film, TV and Stage Development Corporation managing director S Venkateswar has said that the government will conduct Nandi Natakotsavam competitions at five centres in the state from February 2 to April 12.
He reviewed arrangements for the competitions in Tenali Ramakrishna Kavi Kalakshetram in Tenali town on Wednesday along with the MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad. Speaking on this occasion, he said that 360 applications were received to participate in the competitions and added that they had received applications from other states also.
He said that the competitions would be conducted at Tenali, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Nandyala and Kurnool and that Chief Minister N Chandrababu would distribute prizes to the winners on April 16. He said that the government had allotted Rs 80 lakh for this purpose. He said MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad would inaugurate the competitions in Tenali on February 2.
MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad sought cooperation of all to make competitions a success and added that it was fortunate that the government was conducting the competitions in Tenali. Officials of various government departments were present.
