He will be continuing in the same post as IGP. He took charge as IGP immediately. Guntur Rural, Urban, Prakasam and Nellore districts would come under the purview of Guntur Range IGP.
Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao and Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu met Gopala Rao and congratulated him. Several police officials in the Guntur Range also met him and greeted him.
