Chess Grandmaster Koneru Humpy said art works reflect an amalgamation of contemporary art and the rich tapestry of Indian culture much like the city of Amaravati. She was the chief guest at the inauguration of the art exhibition ‘Sunrise at Vistas’ curated by Kumar Vikas Saxena and organised by the CCVA at its Art Gallery, Madhu Malaxmi Chambers here on Wednesday.

Vijayawada: Chess Grandmaster Koneru Humpy said art works reflect an amalgamation of contemporary art and the rich tapestry of Indian culture much like the city of Amaravati. She was the chief guest at the inauguration of the art exhibition ‘Sunrise at Vistas’ curated by Kumar Vikas Saxena and organised by the CCVA at its Art Gallery, Madhu Malaxmi Chambers here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Humpy said that all the artists had firmly established their name in the art world through their distinctive technique and methods of expression. Saxena said that it was a wonderful opportunity to have a common platform at the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati to interact with local artists and paint together.

CCVA founder Y Harish Chandra Prasad also spoke at the event. Koneru Humpy, Harish Chandra Prasad facilitated the artists. CCVA CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, Tarun Kakani of Young Indian –Amaravati (YI), MPVL CEO Sandeep Mandava and local artists participated in the programme. The exhibition will be open till 31st January between 10 am and 7 pm.
