Sambasiva Rao to be VC of Mizoram University

Rector for Acharya Nagarjuna University, KRS Sambasiva Rao is going to take charge as the Vice-Chancellor for Mizoram Central University on November 16.
Guntur: Rector for Acharya Nagarjuna University, KRS Sambasiva Rao is going to take charge as the Vice-Chancellor for Mizoram Central University on November 16.
Prof. Sambasiva Rao has been working in ANU for over 29 years now. He said that ANU is like a mother to him and he gained a lot of knowledge here. He explained that he will focus on women empowerment in the North Eastern States, as they give most priority to the women folk.
“Will establish Skill Development Centre and a Women Empowerment Centre at the University,” informed Sambasiva Rao.
He said that he will give top priority in admissions to genuine students based on merit only.
The Mizoram Central University has NAAC recognition and has got A grade, he explained.
Sambasiva Rao stated that he will bring the University into top ten list of the Universities in the country by introducing his ideas in both administration and academics.
To improve
the standards of research, he has promised to provide necessary infrastructure to the students. He said that he will take charge on Thursday.
