The BC activists demanded that the government withdraw the suspension against SI Nagaraju. The BC JAC activists further said that there was no proof in video footages that the SI threatened Raja with a revolver as told by the latter.
Kakinada: Demanding withdrawal of the suspension of Ramachandrapuram Sub-Inspector K Nagaraju, the Andhra Pradesh Backward Community JAC activists staged a protest in front of the collectorate here on Monday.
The BC JAC and Bahujan United Front activists squatted at the Collectorate wearing black scarves to show their resentment. They raised slogans alleging that action against the Sub-Inspector was partial.
The activists shouted in anger saying that Jakkampudi Raja was a ‘rowdy-sheeter.’ They further alleged that Raja had caught SI Nagaraju with his collar. The action of Raja was a crime. The activists accused Raja with in 13 cases. They also informed that 63 cases were pending against his father.”
The activists reminded that Raja once made a complaint against Prakash Nagar Sub-Inspector and later withdrew the case.
The BC activists demanded that the government withdraw the suspension against SI Nagaraju. The BC JAC activists further said that there was no proof in video footages that the SI threatened Raja with a revolver as told by the latter.
The agitators wanted a reply from the government on why the culprits were not arrested in the Tuni train burning case.
They threatened that they would intensify the agitation if the government failed to lift the suspension of Nagaraju.
The activists asked the government to arrest Jakkampudi Raja and his followers.
The BC United Front chairman, Chollangi Venu Gopal and others participated in the protest.
