JC Radha Krishna Murthy participated as a chief guest of the inaugural programme of the “Self Defense Training Programme for Adolescent Girls 2017-18” at the Ambedkar Bhavan, organised by the Rashtriya Madhyamika Siksha Abhiyan(RMSA) here on Friday.
After inaugurating the programme JC said that this self-defense training would help the adolescent girls to become a stronger person in physically and mentally. He further told that these type of self-defence training certainly boost the spirits of the younger girls which helps in to shape their future and they can handle the things with more confidence.
JC further informed that they are going to launch the ‘Baalika Telusuko’ programme for girls to know the food habits, about personal hygiene and how to behave with others. JC informed that they have planned two classes per week to all the hostel students of KGVB (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya), Tribal and Social Welfare. JC urged the trainees to learn Yoga along with the self-defense training.
District Educational Officer Abraham told that with this self-defence training one can learn about the key factors in self-defense so that they can know and adapt fighting spirit. Speaking on the occasion RMSA Equity Consultant P Geetha told that with this self-defense training the adolescent girls can face any problem with courage and confidence. She further informed that they are providing the self-defense training to 4 lakh students in 5,700 schools of the state. She further informed that this self-defense training is designed with simple techniques to be learnt in three months.
RMSA State Coordinator Anitha, Bandi Institute of Martial Arts President B Chandra Sekhar, AP Taekwondo Association Secretary Atchyut Reddy, RJD Asst. Director Subhadra and others participated.
