Krishna district under-17 football team selected

Krishna District Football Association (KDFA) selected under-17 boys team for the inter district championship which will be held at Visakhapatnam from April 9. District Sports Development Officer (DSDO) Md Sirajuddhin presented jerseys to the foot ball players at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium in the city on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion DSDO Sirajuddhin said that Football in Vijayawada and Guntur districts as go back to the point when national level tournaments were conducted at Gandhiji Municipal Corporation high school. Several tournaments were organised at IGMC and all the matches were watched by football lovers. Students are enthusiastically participating in football matches and it reflects the olden days have re started, he added.
