Here are the top destinations for honeymoon

Once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as champagne picnics on uninhabited islands, indulging in exquisite cuisines, watching the sunset at a private infinity pool and staying in over-water villas have long lured happy couples.

Some things never go out of honeymoon style, though: a king size bed, astounding views, lip smacking food and top-notch service. But for a while now, adventure and offbeat experiences have become a top priority for newlyweds who have already taken sun, sea and sand holidays together numerous times.

Nowadays, couples spend a lot of time searching the destinations and the activities it offers. Seems like a lot of pressure? Fret not, Hotels.com latest survey lists the top destinations for the wedding season to help you choose at ease.

For the study the company took data over a search period from October 2015 to March 2016 and a travel period from November 2015 to March 2016. The top destination chosen by a majority (68 per cent) was Seychelles. Second spot went to Cancún with 59 per cent. Maldives, Bali and Santorini took the next three spots with 44 per cent, 34 per cent and 20 per cent, respectively.
